Senior Team

The club extends its thanks to all who helped out in getting the grounds ready for the game, all the stewards who were present at the game, Noreen and her team for providing refreshments before and after the game, John Lavin for providing the PA system and MC for the game, Bernie Casserley for singing the anthem.

Our nest game is against Roscommon Gaels in strokestown next Sunday at 3.30pm.

Minor Team

The Michael Cooney and Sons Ltd minor team had a hard fought win over Kilbride in round 4 of the championship on Thursday evening last in Frenchpark. The team started well and lead by 5 points at the break. Kilbride started the stronger in the second half and a few early goals saw they take the lead. Western Gaels worked hard the secure the points by the narrowest of margins. The team play Michael Glavey’s in Ballinlough next Friday evening in the last of the ground games. Ladies Football

Intermediate Ladies Team

 The Kilrane O’Callaghan & Co sponsored intermediate ladies team had a disappointing result on Saturday evening last when they played Shannon Gaels in round 4 of the Championship in Frenchpark. Shannon Gaels were the stronger team and a number of early goals set them on their way for a comfortable win. The girls play Castlerea in the final round of the ground in two weeks. Club Rossie

Draw takes place in Hannons on 28th August at 9pm. Tickets are still on sale for any persons that want to be in with a chance of winning some very good prizes and in turn supporting your county teams.
